Insulated Rolling Doors
Insulated rolling door systems provide thermal insulation to better protect against the elements and reduce energy costs. Sound dampening doors provide both noise reduction and thermal protection.
Insulated Rolling Doors
Alpine’s IMB-V5 Fast-Acting Insulated Overhead Door – rolling insulated door with insulated metal backed slats that are 5/8 inch thick slats with an R-Value: 6.82 (U-factor of 0.147) calculated using the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. The slats are insulated with polystyrene for increased thermal protection. The IMB-V5 door’s profile is also available with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The profile is a flat slat with a back cover, and comes in a variety of materials and finishes to meet your needs for weather sealed doors.
Alpine’s IMB-V7 Fast-Acting Insulated Roll Up Door – with insulated metal backed slats that are 7/8 inch thick slats with an R-Value: 8.01 (U-factor of 0.125) calculated using the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals. The slats on the door are insulated with polystyrene for increased thermal protection. These insulated doors and weather sealed doors have slats that are also available with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The IMB-V7 insulated rolling doors profile is a flat slat with a back cover and it comes in a variety of materials and finishes to meet your needs for steel rolling doors.
Alpine’s Insul-Sound Sound Resistant Roller Shutters – are sound rated doors that use a patented Insulated Sound Barrier PVC Back slats to provide a full noise reduction STC RATING of 30 and thermal protection. The coiling door curtain is made of slats with snap-on, weather resistant PVC with a filled-in core and a back cover to increase insulation for a R-value of 7.2 (U-factor of 0.139). All these industrial soundproof doors function as any normal service door and come in a variety of materials and finishes. Each of our sliding grilles and sound resistant doors will have noise reduction sound barrier materials combine with insulation R-values. The inside of these rolling doors provides a full vapor barrier for thermal protection. The front slat of the coiling door is available in 22, 20, and 18 gauge steel, or B.S. Aluminum with a variety of finishes.
